Over the weekend we went to scout for photograph locations at the Merritt Island NWR, for the upcoming birding season. The refuge is less than an hour away from the house and is part of the Kennedy Space Center. I took my infrared camera and we went on a couple of short hikes and drove the Black Point Wildlife loop. We only saw a few birds as they haven't migrated here yet and we saw a couple of alligators. All in all it was a nice day outdoors.
